I ran update on Photoshop CS6 yesterday.. now am having issues with my document am working on blacking out. when I cloick on it, the screen goes totally black. I open the pic, go to move another pic into it and it goes black...
am working on Windows 7, and Just did update yesterday.. until I ran the update all was working okay... now no longer working

Why does my entire screen turn black in Photoshop CS6 when I try to use the Eliptical tools... What is wrong here ???????
I am trying to work on a poster for someone and cannot use my eliptical tools... click on the photo and it goes black...

Welcome to the forum :)

Without seeing a screen shot of when you have the problem, are you using the selection tools? Or the path tools?

What are the circumstances when your problem occurs?

As the problem occured after an update I would do a system restore. If you can identify the update that caused the issue you should be able to rectify the problem (hopefully)
