Welcome to the forum
Without seeing a screen shot of when you have the problem, are you using the selection tools? Or the path tools?
What are the circumstances when your problem occurs? _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

As the problem occured after an update I would do a system restore. If you can identify the update that caused the issue you should be able to rectify the problem (hopefully)
