cs6, windows 7 home. When I open ANY photo (jpg or tiff) into 'liquify' it opens with the color so distorted that it's hard to recognize the photo. This happens with any picture. I need to edit some photos for a client and this is keeping me from working.
Thanks for your help,
Boyd
PS: I'm attaching before and after photos. |

Just a shot in the dark I'm afraid, but have you tried updating both Photoshop and your video card drivers? _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I appreciate it. I'll try to update the video card, but I'm not sure how to do it.
Thanks, Boyd. |

If you know the make and model of your card, I can point you to the right link. If you don't then I can tell you how to get the info. Of course sod's law says it's not your card! _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I think this is the graphics card #:
AMD M880G with ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 4250
I'm mostly self-taught with my computer, sorry.

I think this is the right link for your drivers Radeon Drivers
I would check to see if you have Open GL checked in your Edit>Preferences>Performance tab, if you do uncheck it or turn it to basic and see if that makes any difference.
And of course the old fall-back of resetting your PS preference file. Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift and keep them held whilst opening PS, it will pop up a dialogue box asking if you want to trash your pref. file. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
