Hi Markus, welcome to the forums.
I think your best bet to select the tree is the select/color range command. Select the background (use the eyedropper with the + sign because it's a gradient). Then check "invert" to select the tree. Click ok. Then click on the "refine edge" button in the options bar (you must have a selection tool active). Set the radius value to 0,1 and click ok.

Yes that works too Mike  but I think color range in combination with refine edge results in smoother edges in this particular case. |
