I have a graphic that has some brown in it and when I print it, the brown turns to purple. Can some one please tell me why?
System: XP Pro Sp2
Photoshop: 8.0
Printer: Epson CX 5200
Thank you for the help. _________________ Jim

As brown is comprised of magenta, yellow and black, it seems that your printer is perhaps adding some to cyan to this mix causing the colour to turn a purplish hue.
I would consult the manufacturer to see if they can rectify the problem.

I would colour manage Photoshop first and foremost, check the profile for your printer and any other external devices that are relevant and then match them up in PS - then worry about your printer et al. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
