I have a graphic that has some brown in it and when I print it, the brown turns to purple. Can some one please tell me why?

System: XP Pro Sp2

Photoshop: 8.0

Printer: Epson CX 5200

Thank you for the help.

As brown is comprised of magenta, yellow and black, it seems that your printer is perhaps adding some to cyan to this mix causing the colour to turn a purplish hue.

I would consult the manufacturer to see if they can rectify the problem.

I would colour manage Photoshop first and foremost, check the profile for your printer and any other external devices that are relevant and then match them up in PS - then worry about your printer et al.
