I have just started getting back into photoshop since awhile ago but never really took the time to learn much about it.

I enjoy making movies and I decided to give photoshop a try to make the poster/movie cover page...

Any critisisms would be great, I need to know where to improve Big Grin

heres what I came up with,

And heres the original for a reference,

Hi FotoChopper welcome to the forum.

You have captured the feel of a movie poster and the nice change in tone to make it more 'Afghanistan' in flavour is a good choice. The font for the 'SEALS' is a good choice but the font choice at the bottom would be more believable if you used the proper Movie Poster Font

I think its a very good first try with Photoshop.

I remember how bad my graphics was at first.

Nice cover for a first attempt. You could darken the edges to give the photo a little bit more of a drama Big Grin

hi,
my 2 cents worth....
i agree with the other i like it. you did a good job with the composit and it matches nicely...

the only thing i caught
1. i thought maybe that sun in the upper left corner could be work on .....maybe just me but i thought i would expect to see a little more of the ridge... up there....

2. also your composit look like there light comming from two directions... look on the right side of the background mountain range, it appears there might be a sun there also.. smiling ... maybe darken that are a little bit ...

It looks cool and all, the tone is great but the fonts don't match that well for a movie poster.
