|
|
Randomly one day after restarting my computer, Photoshop no longer opens up. It starts, loads the usual window and then immediately stops responding and crashes. The debug message is..
Quote: | Unhandled exception at 0x000007feeef0356f in Photoshop.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000000. |
All my other CS4 programs seem to still work fine. I have tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling it and nothing changed. Anyone have the same problem or any idea how to fix it? I'm a web designer and use Photoshop daily so I'm pretty lost without it! |

With sympathy, that's happened before to me as well, but I can't remember how to fix it... I know, not the answer you want.
But the fact that it starts and then crashes sounds like it doesn't have enough RAM to open in... You might want to try closing un-needed programs, or a restart usually works. Restart your computer then try to open it. If that doesn't work, then we can troubleshoot from there. _________________ http://www.bladecx321.deviantart.com/ |

Just restarted and tried to start up photoshop with nothing else open except task manager. Still didn't open. I have 4 gb RAM and it never got over 2 when I tried to open it so I don't think that's it.
Two other details I forgot to mention earlier are:
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)
Neither 64 bit or regular version of photoshop would open |

Your exe file has destroyed. You have to reinstall the photo shop. _________________ Photoshop is not a verb. It is a noun. It is the means to an end, not the end itself |
