Of course that's allowed. Please post some more details. Have you tried reinstalling? _________________ Best Regards,

i have done uninstalling the program and now i cant even install it back.. the installation file simply refuse to work on my pc now.. it works on my frens though..
i have tried resetting preference by go to the directory below and deleteing the preference file.. still the same problem
%windir%\Documents and Settings\~username\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\[version #]\Adobe Photoshop [version #] Settings
What is weird about the problem is that this has happened to me twice... the other time was a month ago.. someone told me to format my pc and yes i did, after that it was working allrite but again that very old problem came back... darn... i dont want to format my pc every now and then.. the last time i formatted my pc before this photoshop error occured was 1 year ago as i usually maintain my pc well.. if this problem doesnt resolve soon, i am gonna move to corel draw products and never see photoshop ever again... |

Are you using a pirated version of Photoshop?
If yes - Go buy it.
If no - Call Adobe tech support. They'll have the problem fixed in a jiffy.
It sounds like you have a corrupted install file. Don't switch to a less capable program just from one mishap. _________________ Best Regards,

@tidal and Oybro:
lol... Strap in your seatbelts, here we go ..
@existonz09:
Hey, first thing you should do is narrow down the problem. You're on a pc right, what Operating system are you using. Win95/98/me, 2000, or XP?
Next we will turn off all back ground programs using a program called msconfig. But first get back to us with the asnwer to what operating system you are using... thanks

this seems to be taking my attention as it is related to fonts because i have like about 3000+ fonts in my pc..
I am running windows xp pro service pack 2.. my system meets the requirement for installing photoshop cs.. like i said, i installed it before and worked.. but somehow i think its gotta do with my fonts or something like that.. i cant remember when i installed all the 3000+ fonts but i as far as i can tell it was working before i installed them but not sure if it was working after that because i cant seem to remember if i used photoshop cs after the font installation...
that link on top i presume is for Mac OS... i need help for windows pc.. sigh..
here's wat i found,
------------------------------------------
16. Check for font problems.
To determine whether a font causes the problem, reduce the number of active TrueType fonts by moving the font files to another location:
Note: Don't move the TrueType fonts installed by Windows. For a list of these fonts, see " What TrueType fonts are installed by Windows? "
1. Create a new folder (for example, C:\TrueType).
2. Open the Windows\Fonts folder.
3. Move TrueType font files, excluding those installed by Windows, from the Windows\Fonts folder to the folder you created in step 1.
4. Restart Windows.
5. Move a few of the fonts from step 3 back to the Windows\Fonts folder.
6. Restart Windows.
7. Start Photoshop, and try to re-create the problem:
-- If the problem recurs, one of the fonts you moved in step 5 may be the cause. Remove those fonts from the Windows\Fonts folder, and repeat steps 4-6, this time adding only one font at a time. When the problem recurs, do one or more of the following:
- If you use a font utility other than the Windows Fonts folder (for example, FontMaster 6.0, included with CorelDRAW 6.0), remove the fonts using that utility. For instructions, refer to the documentation for the utility.
- Remove the font and reinstall it from the original media.
- Contact the font manufacturer to obtain an updated version of the font.
-- If the problem doesn't recur, repeat steps 5-7, testing different fonts.
--------------------------------------
omg i will faint if i have to check for errors like this... should i just remove all the fonts and get new ones but then i lose some good fonts that i had been using a long time ago.. hard for me to see which ones are those that is why wouldnt want risking removin all my fonts |
