Hi,
Can any help me in giving me any ideas to the best way of making a rolling chequered flag.

Im sure there must be a easier way of making one, I tried making a patteren and filling in my drawn path but the pattern just is not at all ( after many attempts).

Any help would be very helpful.

I tried one really quick. It could be a lot better, but is this sorta what you're looking for?

More wavy? More realistic?

hi,
thanks for replying to my post, yes kind of like that how did you achieve the patteren was it a case building each colour up or did you make a pattern, as I tried the patteren maker tool and it came a bit crazy.

Basically the idea is to a flag like you have done but with a huge wave and folds in the flag itself.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the long wait. I made that flag off a tutorial that utilizes the displacement map filter. Check it out here. There's a lot of flexibility for how many curves you want and how much you want them to curve. You will be using a pattern fill like you did before, just with a few more steps ;)

That second link is great!

I think I'm going to have to try to make a flag just because of the potential end result!

Really great tute.
