|
|
Hi,
Can any help me in giving me any ideas to the best way of making a rolling chequered flag.
Im sure there must be a easier way of making one, I tried making a patteren and filling in my drawn path but the pattern just is not at all ( after many attempts).
Any help would be very helpful.

I tried one really quick. It could be a lot better, but is this sorta what you're looking for?
More wavy? More realistic?

That one was terrible... I'm sorry. Here's a better one.

hi,
thanks for replying to my post, yes kind of like that how did you achieve the patteren was it a case building each colour up or did you make a pattern, as I tried the patteren maker tool and it came a bit crazy.
Basically the idea is to a flag like you have done but with a huge wave and folds in the flag itself.
Thanks again.

Sorry for the long wait. I made that flag off a tutorial that utilizes the displacement map filter. Check it out here. There's a lot of flexibility for how many curves you want and how much you want them to curve. You will be using a pattern fill like you did before, just with a few more steps

That second link is great!
I think I'm going to have to try to make a flag just because of the potential end result!
Really great tute.
