I am an almost total newbie and am trying to make a star shape that would appear to be faceted and made of Quartz. I've trawled the net but Quartz does not seem to be popular! I have CS2 and it will be part of a logo for the web. I have used the shape tool but cannot get the colours/transparency right. Any help would be much appreciated as I have now been trying on and off for 2 weeks! PS I know nothing about the pen tool so please don't ask me to draw a star!!! I can however draw the star in Auto cad but when I export it as an eps it looks awful. _________________ Of all the things I've ever lost, it's my mind I miss the most |

Hi,
An easy way to get the hang of drawing with the pen tool is to display the grid and use that as a guide. Set the grids size in your preferences then display it and use as a placement guide for your star. You should also find a star shape in the custom shapes folder.
There is a tutorial for making quartz here that you might be able to adapt for your needs. _________________ ATB

Many thanks, this gives me a starting point and the tutorial looks quite good, will give it a try this evening.
