Been using Photoshop since 5.5 but now, in 7.0.1, when it tries to load, I get the message "Unable to continue because of hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable" Then I'm dumped. I've removed the program and tries reinstall. Same result. Anyone have any ideas? |

one possibility is your pc hasn't got the right spec to run 7.0, another is somethings failed (ram perhaps) and it's detecting it, or perhaps a conflict of some sort.
did this happen when you installed 7.0 or was it working for a while then stopped? Wayne |

I would uninstall Photoshop and everything that deals with it. Then, restart and do a search using "*" (without the " " in it) like search for *Adobe, or *Photoshop, or *CS. Delete everything that it finds. Restsart and reinstall Photoshop. Not saying it'll definately fix the problem, but I've run into similar problems with different programs, and once with PS 6.0.1. I did the search thingy and deleted everything that was found. Restarted and worked great.
Hope this helps. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |
