I am trying to work in photoshop and, for some reason, I pressed something that made the tool box go away. I've been clicking on things for an hour now and can't get it. What am I doing?
For awhile, I had a totally black screen with nothing but the image and nothing to click, etc.... gulp... I had to shut down my computer and restart it to get out of that one. |

You may have hit the Tab key. Hit Tab again to see if comes back. Otherwise go Window>Tools.
The black screen with image is called "Full Screen Mode"
PS has three screen modes, toggled by pressing the F key.
EDIT
(Moi types quicker than I!) |

The second Screen Mode (Full with menu bar) can come in real handy when working near edge of zoomed-in image. Hand tool will move to outside of image edge, just like in Illustrator. |

And don't forget that the color outside the document can be changed in that last mode...just shift-click with the Paint Bucket tool in that area, I believe. _________________ Interested in showcasing your special effects or learning some new ones from the masters? Check out PSFX! |

Yep. Full Screen with menu bar.
But Full Screen w/o menu is always black. (I believe) |
