Hey all. This is for one of my design classes. I had to make a billboard advertising a Scion tC. The concept I was playing off of was that you can customize it. "What moves you?" That is their big thing. So i wanted to show a real sketchy car that is plain, bursting into a real car with color etc... So thats the basic concept. Here is the pic. (btw, the front end will be hanging off the billboard)

then i did a lil image to see what it looked like on a billboard, and here it is

Great idea. Nice colour scheme. I don't like the drop shadow for such a large job. I would have put the text on the top on the right to give more impression of movement.
In real terms the cost factor for the overhang may be a problem.
(IMHO)

very nice. I have two sugestions for possible but unnecessary improvement:

1: the line drawing of the back ens of the tc looks sketchy. If that is not what you wanted, then try drawing it using the pen tool to achieve a very smooth line. If you like the sketched look, that's fine, I'm just suggesting a new idea

2: when it's on the board, it looks like the bottom walkway thing is wierdly twisted. Just looks a tad strange, though i don't really know what's wrong...

thanks guys. I am actually changing the whole thing... No one in the class really liked it. I was actually going for the sketchy look, but im dumping that idea, bc the concept isnt clear, so im just going to stick with the speed thing. Im not sure about the walkway on the billboard, i just got it off google images. Ill post a pic of my new roughs when i finish it later on today. But thanks again for the input and such.

ok so here is the new design. I think i still want to find a font that is closer to the actual scion font, but Arial works for now. The text however is incorporated into the design better than before where it just looked slapped on. With the issue of the overhang... since its just for a class, and not the company, cost is no concern, i just think it looks cooler. Anyway here are the new pics.

Now that looks something.
One thing. The logo is a bit difficult to see, bearing in mind that you only have a fleeting second of viewers attention on a billboard.
The ad must be hard hitting.
Good luck with your exam

That's up to you. Your the artist. In a real life situation the client has the final say. But you provide the recommendations.
