Would anyone be interested in doing a Sig Of The Week?

With a poll to decide whos best?

People have suggested the idea on these forums before, but its never really happened, and i think it would be a good idea on a forum about photoshop

I think it's a very good idea. I'm interested in competing for the first week's theme: space sigs, suggested by Shadow. In fact, I already have the concept and rough version of my entry...

So, will this be a 1 on 1 like Shadow originally intended, or will it be a free-for-all?

Fine by me. I'd like to see the rules and agree with them, of course.

Of Course, everyone happy with these rules?, if your not tell me

1: Maximum of 3 entries allowed by any one user
2: All Entries Must be In, by the 4th August 2005
3: On the date fo the 4th August 2005, a panel of 5 jdges, that havent entered any entries will judge whos best, whoever gets the most votes wins, the judges may vote for 2 sigs each

everyone happy with the rules so far?

Sounds good to me. Although, I'd like to suggest a different possibility for a voting system. I think it would be better to have the judges vote a place (1st place, 2nd place, etc.) for every single entry. This might not work with only five judges, so perhaps it'd be better to keep it your way. I don't know if I like the idea of having them vote for two sigs; it might be simpler to have each judge vote for one.

OK then, well the only reason i opted for 2, is because if say 20 people enter, the judges might all have different opinions, and end up with 15 people having 0 votes, and 5 people having 1 each, whereby, it would be pointless voting, at least if there is 2 votes each, there is more option and a wider spread of results.

I suppose you're right. Let's just go with what you originally suggested.

So, anyone else interested in participating? Shadow?

My photoshop confidence is not so great that I'd want to compete the first week. I'd be happy to be a judge, though, with enough experience to appreciate what's difficult and waht's not.

if the competition looks easy, I'll make an entry next time.

==EDIT==

Unfortunately, I've just realized that I won't be available on the 4th. Sorry for the inconvenient post. I look forward to seeing the entries.

Sorry to hear that. Anyone else interested in judging? Or, even more importantly, competing in the contest? I would be so sad if mine was the only entry. Cry
