this is a young website, and there are'nt very many members. Perhaps for the first time, the deadline could be extended, in order to allow more time for less frequent visitors to discover this thread and enter. if it's going to become a reliable weekly thing, maybe we could get it sticky. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth

I think one of the best ways to generate enthusiasm about future contests is to get some under our belt. Space sigs constitute a pretty specific topic in Photoshop; some people might not be interested anyway. I agree that we should extend the deadline a little, but not too much. That way we can get enough people to join to generate real enthusiasm about sig contests.
My entry for this contest is basically finished. Once the finishing touches are done, what shall I do with the image? Post it on this thread? Email it to a master judge? Hold onto it until the deadline?
(By the way, I think we should avoid grunge/character/render/general abstract sig contests. These tend to be WAAAAAY overdone on the web. Well, Doppelganger2nd, by all means enter, but we do need judges, so its really whatever suits you better, you can judge this time, and enter next time, or enter this time and judge next time, or enter both or whatever dont really mind,
and in regards to ronmatt a sig is the abbreviated version of a signature, and on a forum your signature appears after everything you post, to make you recognizable, if you look through the design review section alot of the topics are called things like "my latest sig" and "rate my sig" ect, look through them and youll get an idea, as far as sizes, there isnt really a fixed size, my sigs are generally 550x150 or close, but they can be any size, aslong as they arent too too big.
