hey guys, new to the forum...

i am having problems taking a screencapture and pasting it in the new photoshop cs5.

for previous versions, it was very easy. 'print screen' whatever, then open up photoshop, FILE>NEW>open the canvas, then paste it.

At first, I thought it was an issue with my clipboard but after it worked for my MS Paint, I realized it's just this version of Photoshop! Did they get rid of this feature in CS5? It would be a pain to take a screen capture, open it up in Paint, save it seperately as a jpg and then open it up again in Photoshop.

Any help will be appreciateD!

Welcome to the forum visionshock, it's the same in Photoshop CS5 as in other versions, certainly works in my copy. Print Screen+New Document+Ctrl V. Its a mystery why yours should be acting up.
