ok, so heres the story:
im currently using photoshop 7 btw
k so i scanned a picture, and its scanned into a the backround layer
the thing is, i want the scan to be in a diff layer, like this>
>scan layer
>coloring layer
>backround layer
so i have to move the scanned image from the backround layer to the scan layer, but the problem is, the backround layer is like... permanently locked, and i dont kno how to budge it
also after that, how do i change the contrast and brightness of the image as a a whole? |

You can also make any layer the background layer if the document doesn't already contain a background layer. Click on the layer that you want to make the background layer and go to Layer -> New -> Background from Layer.
This will only work if there is currently no background layer in your document. _________________ Best Regards,
