i agree with shadow. have a sig of the week, but you can do whatever the hell you want. there should probably be minor restrictions, like size and stuff like that, but otherwise do whatever you want. that would end up an interesting competition. _________________ - Does your God come in a capsule to sedate you?
i think the sig of a week deffinatly needs a topic, it expands your creativity and makes you think. If you cant do whatever topic is requested than what good are you really? Learning to be creative is key. idk the project of the week sounds like it could be fun as well

I actually quite like the idea of not having a topic to do it on, as it means everyones sigs will be the best of their talents, for example some people might not be good at space scenes, so you cant see their full talent, whereas if there is no theme, people can try their hardest without worrtying about regulations _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk
people will do the same thing over and over and redoit and overplay it because that is what they are good at, it keeps it interesting by having a topic, also means maybe a different person will win, it also makes it hard to judge when you have 8 billion subjects, but thats just me.

Well your points are good, sbut i suppose there isnt really a solution, i think the winner of the SOTW's should decide on the next SOTW's theme, or if they want, they can decide that it doesnt haev a theme _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk

there's an upside and downside to everything, but I think a no themed SOTW would be best, it lets people do what they want at their expense, then they can use thier true talents. Or how about, you can choose a theme, and if the people want to do the theme they can, but if they dont, they can also submit something that they made, but not by the theme, so they can take the challange or do their best. _________________ Space Artist

Well, why not have a sig of the week with a theme, and maybe once a month do a sig of the month without a theme? Or even the other way around? Could also do a SOTW with a theme and a SOTW without a theme. That way, people can enter one or the other, and they aren't limited to having to follow a theme, and again, aren't limited to not having a theme. Either a moderator could pick a theme each week, or the winner could pick one. Might wanna make a rule saying no back to back themes. Keep the rules and themes simple to avoid people getting upset, and difinately make a rule NO ARGUING, WHINING, CRYING or saying that so so should've won. All decisions are final.

why dont you just get the winner of the previous SOTW to choose the theme of the new one and so on that way the winner actually gets sometihng i think someone else suggested this but i cbf ready up there im removing trojans. _________________ You Have Balls, I Like Balls
