|

I would like to use an image as a background for a label but I want the image to look fainter than normal so that it appears to be in the distant background. I think this can be done with filters but I have no idea how to go about it.
I want my text and logo to dominate the scene.
Can anyone suggest a method?
Thank you. _________________ Life is too short to live in the slow lane!

Without seeing your image, I'd suggest giving it a bit of Gaussian blur. |

Almost sounds like you are wanting to have your background image slightly opaque? If that's it, make a copy of the background layer, delete the original layer (or hide it in the layers pallette) and then change the layer opacity until you get the desired effect. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |
