Hi. I am trying to draw a solid evenly dashed line in an image. Any clues as to how I can do this?

You could make a dash brush.
Just as an example:
Make a new file 3 px wide / 1 px high. Fill it with black.
Go to EDIT / DEFINE BRUSH PRESET
name it DASH.

Then open the Brush pallete. Click the BRUSH TIP SHAPE, chose your new dash brush. Then go down to the SPACING and move the slider right to about 400%.
(uncheck space dynamics if checked)

You probably didn't fill the 3X1 (or what ever size) with black you stroked it with a soft brush. Fill it with black.

To make a staight line:
click once on screen then hold the SHIFT key down now drag to the right or simply click at some point to the right.

Thanks, getting there. I did fill the 3X1 with black - i used the paint bucket to fill it. But the brush shape still ends up curved no matter what I do. Is there another way to make a dashed line?
