Hmmm.

Not sure what to make of that. I'm using a PC for my sins, but I'd much rather be back on Macs.

Maybe it's to do with monitors, but I've looked at me shape on 2 different monitors and it looks poor on both of them.

As I say, it is a vector path like yours.

The screenshot you posted a couple of posts ago doesn't look much better than the one I have posted.

That would instantly lead me to state the monitor I have can't produce a high enough resolution.

But I have a Samsung SyncMaster 245B widescreen running at 1920 x 1200 resolution. The comp is dual quad processor with dual NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS.

However if you are saying that you can see them much better than I, maybe my set-up is wrong. They are juts as bad on my laptop as well and that is a very modern one -Compaq.

Thanks for your thoughts on all of this anyway - I am very grateful for your input.

Adobe Illustrator is a vector based program you may be interested it.

Photoshop will always lump it up sooner or later, however you still should be able to produce a smooth raster curve, as the pixels used to display graphics on your monitor are constant. (example if you took a print-screen of vector curve, it would be a raster image yet still look the same on screen.)

Thanks for the reply.

As mentioned in previous posts, I have Freehand and tried out various curves and shapes using the vector tools.

I got the same jaggy nasty result.

In both Freehand and Photoshop, they look nasty - even before I have filled them in.

1px curves when closed in are as though I had drawn them myself with the pencil tool and the same goes with 2px, 3px and small amounts.

Something isn't right but I just don't know what - and it is denying me vital tools for my job.

Emailing Adobe is obviously a total waste of time as you won't get an answer.
