Hi,

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section but I'm not sure of the name of what I am trying to achieve.
I will try to explain this as best as I can.

I have two layers on top of each other and am trying to reveal part of the layer that is underneath. I don't want to re-size it as that wouldn't achieve the desired effect. Is it possible to make a straight selection and remove part of the top layer to reveal part of the layer underneath?

One more thing, when I create a vector shape is there a keyboard shortcut to rasterize the shape without having to click the tick at the top of the window?

Thanks in advance Big Grin

Welcome to the forum. Layer masks are your answer. There's more than enough info out there already, now that you know the term :)
