I'm sorry to be a bother but i wonder if there is a tutorial that i have overlooked.

I want to have a promotional picture done of me and i want to edit it to have like thin lightning around my closed fist (i guess you could say it's kind of like the guy from infamous.

how would i go about doing this?

I understand that it's a very popular subject and I apologise for posting it, but i couldn't really find anything that helps me

hi,
not familiar with infamous...... so i ended doing alittle research tofigure what you meant...

on picture i saw was some rasing the arm to the sky and a couple of lightening bolts between the and this cloud in thesky ...

now on something like that all you need to do is make the lighten bolts on seperate layers and rotate and repositon theend of the lilghtening bolt to where the ends meet the hand.. and you go from there....

there a lot of tutorials on making lighten bolts this is just one...

also there are brushes forlighten bolts and that can make things a lot easier...

now this tutorial i think pretty close to what you want
