Hey everyone,
First off, hello! New to the boards (I'll have to formerly introduce myself when I get home from work in another thread).
I'm kinda of in a crunch to finish a design for a site but am attempting a new approach. An dim lit ambient background gradient (barley like light rays).
The website I can use for inspiration can be found here.
http://versionsapp.com/
As you can see it has a beautiful layout, however the ambient light blue gradient textured background has been quite a pickle for me to generate something even remotely similar to it.
I've tried many different approaches: Gaussian blurred lines, gradient combos, brush masking; all to no avail. Hoping some of you guys could give it a go or point me in the right direction to getting a similar result.
Any help would be most appreciated and will be home shortly to continue working on this and hopefully responding to comments.
Best...
Sean H.

Nice job, looks like the real deal to me
I was going to suggest similar or a render>lighting effects with a mask/blur, but that sounds more complicated and may not replicate it as accurately.

I appreciate the help, you got me in the right direction. I seem to be getting where I want it to go. I'll post a the result when done.
