Use the magic wand tool set to contiguous to select the S. Once selected fill it with white.

Thanks brother. Let's say i want to change the color of the red to the same neon i have in this image, how would i go about this?

I see a green, not sure what you mean when you say neon.
But anyway use the same procedure, just select the red and fill.

What exactly do you mean by fill? I'm trying to extract the green onto the red, but i don't know how to get the exact color.

Use the eye dropper to sample the color.

What am i doing wrong if i click the green with the eyedropper, but it doesn't fill?

The eyedropper is just for sampling the colour, you need to control click your layer and make a selection and then fill that with the paint-bucket.
