Hi,

I'm trying to make a normal jpeg photo into a 3d image like the one attached.

I'm using Illustrator & I've gone to effects & 3D & have given the image a stroke depth of 20. The problem is the top & sides of my image are a light grey colour & I want my image to wrap round the top & sides.

Any ideas? Confused

you are almost there brighteyes,

what you need to do is create 3 seperate symbols, one of the front, one of the side and one for the top,

once you have you 3 symbols, go into the 3d filter, of illustrator, and. Insode the filter you can select which symbol you want to map to which side, it is a little confusing as what side is what so it make take a few tries.

good luck
