I had 83 RAW files (.CR2) to open in Bridge. (CS2) I navigated to the folder where the files were and began to load them into Bridge. 1/2 hour later, the files are still loading with another 10-15 minutes to go. What takes so long?
2.33 Duo Core
4 GB ram
750 GB Caviar Black
Built-in USB 2.0 card reader
Windows 7 Pro

83 RAW !! Why load them all at once? RAW files can be as little as a few megabytes or as much as a gigabyte, your machine will be straining to open them.
