in my filter options I only have:
blur, noise, pixelate, sharpen, stylize, other
In older photoshops you always had lots of options here. What am i missing/doing wrong?
also I cannot open any files expect for psd files..... i am on a mac |

You are probably in 16 bit mode, go to image/mode and check the 8 bit your filters should come back then, then try opening a jpeg. Wayne |

also, if you are in cmyk there are limited filters. So if you want them all, make sure you are in RGB.

i have set the image to 8 bit and RGB and I still only have limited options with my filters.......
and my photoshop won't open most .gif files
i have a mac |

Maybe you moved your PS application out of the OS's Application folder? (don't) This could cause both problems you describe. |
