Hi! When in photoshop we shrink the texture it decreases the quality. Is there any solution for this?
For example in Fireworks it does not happen. The texture is the keep quality, only make compressed image.

Tell us a little more about what you do when you "shrink the texture".

When you decrease the number of pixels, you are decreasing the amount of detail in the file. Are you resizing because you wnat to put it on a web page?

The quality will decrease because the information is no longer there.

Each pixel represents a square "dot" of information. So 1024 x 1024 means that there are 1,048,576 "dots" of color information. That gives you plenty of room to show a big picture of grass with lots of different blades and shadows and variations of green.

But 100 x 100 means that there are only 10,000 square "dots" of color information. Photoshop has to throw away a lot of information in order to reduce to that size.

It is normal to make patterns from 100x100 squares, but those squares aren't expected to look like a large image.

Sorry if I've misenderstood your question, but hope that helps a little bit.
