I'm a photoshop noob Bawling

Anyways, I have a small pic of a music note with ascented symbols on it to make it look like music sound (if that makes sense?)

The background is white. What I want to be able to do is cut the music note out of the pic and basically get rid of the background because I'm going to move it over to another document.

I don't wanna have to use the pen tool for this or the lasso tool... I'm hoping there is some quick select method that selects the actual pixels as an image, so I can just hit copy and paste over on the other document?

You cant just move it over with a white background because the background will stay with the pic no matter what, unless you cut it

Thanks in advance if ya can point me to the right tool

Select>ColourRange-Highlights (or the inverse). Try that for starters, I'm guessing you don't want to get in to masking or calculations ;)
