i am on a G5 with a solid handful of RAM. As a fast scratch disk, I currently have a SCSI 320 RAID 0 array hooked up to an Atto card. I have been having some reliability issues with Atto and their drivers. I am now using "Soft Raid" to configure the SCSI raid. something still seems a bit off.

My question is, what is the fastest drive type (SCSI, SATA, etc...) and most reilable for a G5? Better yet, what is the fastest scratch configuration known to make Photoshop fly?
are there any configuration tricks?
