I am getting the weirdest result. It has never happened to me before.
Here's the situation:
I crop an image to resize it to get the image area I want in order to post it on a website. When I upload it to the server, I refresh the page and I cannot see the image. The weird thing about it is, I am able to view the image when I type in the URL to the image (www.here.com/blah.jpg) but cannot see it in the html file. I view source code, and the tag for the image isn't even in the source view. So I upload the original un-cropped image and put that on the web page and it views fine. I have narrowed the problem down to when I crop it, it won't show up in the web page.
Anyone have a clue?
Sorry, if this isn't the place to post this, but I am at wit's end with this problem. This has NEVER happened before. So I hope someone who reads this has had this same issue and knows how to resolve it.
Thanks |

I did have a problem a while back with images after PS work saving as corupted files and refusing to open, that turned out to be a slightly corupted download from the camera, strangly the original pics would view fine and open in PS but after ajustment wouldn't open again.
I tracked it down to something running on the PC during the original download, I downloaded them fresh and it all worked fine.
Is it only happening with a particular batch of pics or any? and what size are you cropping to? Wayne |

It seems to be any image I crop, it won't view on the web. I found a work around for it though.
Get this:
If I change the image size in the code (image size meaning the dimensions of the displayed inserted picture, not the picture itself) the picture seems to view just fine. So for a picture that is 400 X 300, if I change the size in the img tag to 400 X 299, the picture will show. Is that spooky or what?! THe only setting I have changed in my PS7.0 is the embedded color profile (for print purposes) and I don't think that would be reponsible for my woes.

Very strange, I'm not really up on web stuff, I tend to let my brother handle that side of it as he's got a lot more experience, I'll ask him if he's got any ideas though. Wayne |
