My mistake. It will only work when one file is selected. Sorry for the multiple posts. _________________ Image production tech

You should select all files ctrl/a and it will select jpgs from that selection.
It should work with CS3 or better (Just tested it with CS3) |

Thank you for all your help Paul R. I am sorry if this is getting tiresome for you, but a couple more probs i need help with.
1- when I select all the images in the folder and run script from the menu, nothing happens. If i select images that I know are greater than the dimensions I set (2000), then it resizes them. what am i doing wrong?
2-i get an error message in cs3 saying this:
error in /users/ryanh/library/application support/adobe/bridge cs3/startup scripts/jpeg resize.jsx
Line 7: newCommand.onSelect = function () {
undefined is not an object |

It sounds as if the script is corrupt. Did you use Extendscript Toolkit? If not that could be your problem, some text editors enter control characters that screw everything up.
Try creating the script again and see what happens. |

I did use the ESTK. But I will try copying it again from this thread, change the paramaters to suit my needs, save it and see if it works. Thanks a million. _________________ Image production tech

Just another thing is that you must close and re-start Bridge for it to pick up the changes. |

That did the trick for Bridge CS4, but no luck with CS3. Same error message. _________________ Image production tech

There must be a typo somewhere then as it works fine in CS3/4 and 5 Bridge.
Have just done another test with 50 JPGs in CS3, works fine here.
Can you post the code and I can try it here please. |
