Hi,

I want to draw a rectangle thats 740px x 80px on a canvas that's 1024x768 It's easy to see the dimensions of the box in fireworks, and figured it would be as intuitive in Photoshop - in fact it probably is, but it seems to be beyond me!

Any help would be much appreciated!

when using the rectangle tool click on the blob (highlighted withthe red circle below) this will bring up your rectangle options, then click on the fixed siz and enter the size you want :) oh and welcome to the site
