Hello. I am planning on upgrading from CS to CS 2. What is the best way to make this upgrade without losing files, brushes, etc. from the current photoshop cs? Should I uninstall photoshop CS and then install CS 2? Is it neccessary to save all the files individually? How should this be accomplished.

here is the listing of all the new features in photoshop cs, there are quite a few major changes, I think you really need to look at them and ask yourself would these features help me, if the answer is yes then you deffinatly should upgrade, if you cant see yourself using the new features then dont bother, also if you own cs just download the 30 day free trial of cs2 from adobes wesite and try it out :)

Personaly I wouldn't spend the money for the differences between the two, there are some changes, but most of them are not lightly to be used all that often in normal everyday use, if your a graphic artist it may be worth the difference, I have it through work but find it much slower than CS, so I still use that! (I know a few others with the same complaint) effects like the vanishibg point filter you can create in other ways (limited use anyway) I'd stick with CS till something new comes out (another 12 month so word has it) but it's your money!
