Newbie alert! I'm trying to change the color of some wood siding for a project, using a Sherwin-Williams paint palette. With several of the colors, it's working fine, however, with some others, it's giving me more of a fill effect with the color, instead of actually recoloring my siding (e.g., it looks more like a paint chip instead of allowing the grain and pattern in the siding to show). I can fade it, but that's still not actually changing the color of the siding. Anyone have any ideas for me as to why only SOME of the colors are giving me this issue?
