I have an image, and i would like to get rid of the white stuff surrounding it. I cant seem to understand any tutorial (why cant they write in plain english??) I thought you could just create an image with a transparent background, then copy/paste your picture onto it and erase the bad stuff. Doesnt work.

Please help me on this Angel

That should work. Make a new document at the right size, making sure the background is transparent. Then paste your image into the new document and simply erase the stuff you don't want. Make sure not to Merge or Flatten until AFTER you've gotten rid of what you don't want.
