FINAL DRAFT~

Hey whats up everybody. i figure that i good way to get more insite on this project im working on is to get reviews while imworking on it. i will update the thread as i further in progress... so my friend is having a website made and he wanted me to do his solo album cover/ website backround image. he wanted himself, floating in space with all the things he plays sort of surounding him.

so i hit the drawing board and came up with this...

he liked it but wanted a little more realistic looking face. less charachter.. so i came up with this

so now we are on the right track but somthing is weird. we decide that he should be more of the focal point of the peice and that maybe he gets to swallowed up by everything so i...

now were talking!

ok so now im starting to make the background.. this is what i came up with (the earth will be put in last)

by the way (this space scene was painted in a program called maya. now photoshop..but it is not an image! im still deciding between the three...ill probably just make another one...

so here is the drumset complete (with out touch ups etc etc)

oh and just for some more insite. the way i am drawing and coloring everything is very stylized...praportion in relation to objects is skewed...and i dont like streight lines. so yeah...very in your face.
hope you enjoy

i just finished the head. im now working on the shirt then the hands and arms... i started with a 50% grey, and then i had a new layer for shadows, then a new layer for highlights, then i add the color on a new layer, usually using the overlay blending mode. its next to the picture reference.
what do you think (thanks for the comments so far!
