Well, i just signed up to take the schools photoshop classes. Its a real advantage, they let you use nicer computers, customized desktop profiles, and a few megs of server storage that other students don'
t get.

Anyways, I thought I would sign up cause I'm sure I will have questions. Theres a lot of assignemnts here.

Welcome to the forums! You're definately in the right place. Although, we won't be doing your homework for you. ;)

Hope you learn a lot!

i have one comment in regards to PS classes and in fact most classes that teaches a program
most college professors teach the technical aspect, not the neccesary eye for design

This guy is crazy, he's a French canadian with no accent. he used to be a catholic monk. Then he went and tought at a public school, decided he hates buerocracies, went to be a janitor for some monk school in france. Then he tought a media class there. Then the shcool went out of buisness, so he went to work at a juvy. hated the fact that the kids didn't want to learn. Taught media at a private catholic school, then he started teaching photoshop five years after that at our overfunded community college. He stated with 2.0. And now he teaches flash as well, which is rare. And on top of that he doesn't have a TV, a phone, internet line, or a stereo at home. And he only works 3 days a week, im still not sure what he does with all that time.

Anyways, we have a lot of progjects that we have to do, that forces us to be creative, but not necesarily design, thats what graphic design classes are for.

Also, he showed us the distrect managed llist fo things to learn. he said that he will learn all of that in the first two weeks, and then he will take us beyound.

Anyways, we should learn a lot, us as a class, and the computer lab exclusive to CIM (com information managment) classes get exclusive treatment as far as school computers go.

So it should be fun.

I wouldn't expect much more from an ex-monk...
