Hi all, this is for a friend so please bear with me.

I'm trying to find out if her Mac will be able to handle CS5 or CS6 and process up to 6,000 RAW files a month. (that's what she told me)

It is an iMac Core 2 Duo
2GB ram (4GB max)
320GB HD

Thanks!

Hello and welcome, aquaninja. :)

It does meet the system requirements for CS6: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html

I hope that this helps.

Thanks,

Patrick

Thanks Patrick. I'm aware that this machine can run Photoshop, but will it be able to handle tons of raw files?

Without seeming glib!

It does depend upon what the intended use is. RAW indicates a certain photographic bent, and I like most would recommend only shoot in RAW (If you can afford it);.

Your spec machine is low on RAM even for a MAC ( I use the terrm 'your').

It's the equivalent of me running a dual processor Windows machine.

All that matters is the work :)
