I had a wierd thing happen with PS today.
I was using CS (on windows xp) I opened a raw file in CS raw window from the file browser (I usually use Raw shooter) made a few ajustments hit the ok to open it in normal PS, it opened fine, I made a few other minor ajustments. Then I went to save as a jpeg, and hit jpeg2000 by mistake, I just carried on hit the ok box, I thought I would see the difference (if any) the file I ended up with wouldn't open in windows, so courious I went back to see if there was any different setting on the jpeg2000 box, and ! guess what, I don't seem to have the option of jpeg2000! (I tried a few times, even off the same raw file) very odd!
Any ideas people????? Wayne

I tried again today to replicate this and failed again, I really cant figure this one out, I just don't seem to have the jpeg 2000 option in the save as box, yet somehow I managed to do it before on this same PC . Send for Mulder and Scully somebody, I think this is one for the X files! Wayne

Could it be that the CS raw has its own save settings? (I don't have any raw files so I can't test it) When you say "wouldn't open in windows" Do you mean you can't open it in Windows Explorer?
If so does your Windows read JPEG2000 files? I know they didn't used to..but that was a while back.

Hi Lasa, CS raw doesn't have a save option, just ok and cancel, ok opens the image in the main CS window (as opposed to the raw window) windows explorer couldn't even identify the file type never mind open it lol, I did try infran view but that wouldn't open it either, although photoshop would open it ok.
I'm not so bothered about windows not opening it, I know theres some issues there (and I may need a plug in for windows or something) I'm more puzzled about not having the option anymore for jpeg 2000, it's got me beat!!! Wayne
