ok i was working in photoshop cs2 and then i went to go link my layer i noticed the link box is gone and im shocked does anyone know how to turn them back on? heres a pic

No, that box is gone forever.
If you need to link layers, then you have to select them first (ctrl+click and/or shift+click) and click the link button at the bottom of your layers palette.
