Hi,

I am new to this board and have a rudimentary understanding of Photoshop. I have CS4 version.

We sell 1960's scooters and a company has asked us to show them what they would look like in their corporate colours. So I thought I would touch up one of our photographs and send it to them. (www.scooter-magic.co.uk)

What I am trying to do is to change the rear panel covering the engine from white to blue and stick their logo on it. The logo is not a problem but I am facing problems colouring the panel.

I have tried using the 'fill' (with the bucket icon) method with mixed results - ie I get ragged edge around the outside. It also looks very 'flat' and I would like to put a highlight or a mettalic tinge to the filled area.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have a basic understanding of layers and filters.

Thank you

David Williams

Added a solid color adjustment layer, blend mode set to hard light, 50% opacity. Use the mask to put the color where you want it.

Thank you very much. That looks excellent. I will try to reproduce it in the appropriate colour.

Thanks again
