hi , im relatively new to photoshop , using version 7 , and im looking for an automated tool to make an array ....
for instance i have this image ...
and say i want to add the grips ( ridges ) around the knob to make it looks more realistic , whats a simple way to go about it ? |

You have to decide from where you're looking at it. On top? you'll see some ridges on top and to the sides but not at the bottom.
After you have decided that, you can draw them on: black-white lines (to create the shadows and highlights as needed)

well you can see them from any angle , just the highlights would have to match ; and the description of the method to make them was pretty vague ...
im mainly askin becuase the amount of time required to hand draw the lines on each angle would just not be worth it .
sorry to nitpick but ive invested alot of time into learning PS and Flash to quit now |
