OK, I've been reading and watching articles and videos about work paths, but can't figure out how to smooth out my text.

Maybe there is an easier way to smooth out this rough Initials?

Anyone got any suggestion as to the best way to do this?

Hi and welcome to the forum. The long and the short is not really. Duplicate the blue Channel, make it black and white by using levels. and Ctrl+Click on the layer icon to select it. Create a new channel and fill the selection with white, deselect and Gaussian Blur until it looks smoother but still distinct (I used 6.Cool, then use level to attempt to smooth. (I include screenshot of my settings).

I didn't play with the settings too much, you may get a better result with other methods/settings. I would personally be tempted to trace it with the Pen tool.
