here is a logo i just finished for a client. i didnt have to much creative freedome because they told me pretty much exactly what they wanted. Haveing stricked guidlines can be a nice thing sometimes when your swamped with schoolwork and having to come up with ideas. its a nice break to just do what somebody asks. anyway i thought it came out nicley. very simple and clean.
(the shadow above the first card was removed. but i dont have that file.)

its nice, a little complex for a logo, but the n again it was someone else's idea. I think the text could follow you bevel and emboss advise a little more, they're a tad plasticy |

i agree. i sent him a few of the same logo one with flat texzt (i thought it looked best) but he liked this one. i acctually set the highlight on the bevel to a red just a few shades lighter than the fill color. its hard to get the bevel and emboss to look not cheep you know .. oh well. its not my idea ha here is a bunch of the rough ideas i sent them.
i like the middle one the best

yea, they're all good, we can blame his choice on bad taste or semi-bad taste, he chose you after all, that gives him brownie points |
