Hi all,

I am trying to use a blue background and text on top. However when i type my text i want to fill the text with any shape or colour or any texture. So say the first letter will be filled with clouds 2nd filled with someones face ( part of a face) and 3rd letter to see straight through to the background colour and only the outline of the text exists. Can this be done?

Cheers Josel

After typing in text you want transparent, Press enter on your number keypad, then go to fill transparentcy (under layer transparentcy) and make that 0%, When you do that, the text will disappear. (It's not REALLY gone though). Play with your layer styles of drop shadow and inner shadow until you get what you are looking for. (You might even want to try outer and inner glow for a different effect.) This can only be used in Photoshops 6, 7 , CS and CS2. ELEMENTS DOES NOT allow you to control the fill transparentcy.
