I'm starting to see some typing but its way to small to read and it wont let me highlight it so I can change the fault size
I'll try to mess with it some more

how do I change my unit size and the amount of gigs I'm using and why is the default set to all this?
I've used photoshop many times and I didn't have to adjust anything

it wont let me click the T up in the left hand corner - it's greyed out and wont let me select anything

I selected my type tool then clicked on canvas and I dont get a blinking curser nor do I get any words to type out and its happening in both CS5 and CS3. is this a system problem of some kind?
